Welcome to parenthood! It’s a world filled with wonder. There are days when you wonder how on earth you created such an amazing human, and there are days when you wonder what on earth you were thinking! The best thing about babies is that everything is exciting to them, and watching babies explore the world for the first time really makes the heart melt.

Baby sensory classes take that wonder and turn it into magic, creating a space where your baby’s curious nature can run wild, and together you can soak up every new discovery.

What is a Baby Sensory Class?

It’s a place where you and bub can go and hang out, playing, learning and bonding. You’ll bang on drums, run around with colourful scarves and ribbons, dress up and blow bubbles together. It’s all about giving babies the best chance to touch and learn, with a wide range of tools at their disposal and mum (or dad) by their side.

Why is a Baby Sensory Class Good for Bub?

It’s simple – these classes are a great way for babies to learn how to use their senses. It enhances their development, and let’s face it, it’s a whole lot of fun.

It can:

  • Boost their brain power

  • Help them develop stronger vocabularies

  • Improve their focus and attention span

  • Aid in regulating their emotions

  • Encourage socialising with other children

Physically, the props used in the class aren’t just there for the fun of it; they are actually chosen for a purpose. Scarves can help with visual tracking, therapy balls assist with core strengthening, and water play is great for exploring the senses. Together, they all help with fine and gross motor skills.

It’s Not Just Good For Your Baby

It’s good for you, too!

These classes are all about bonding with your baby and taking time out to spend together – not worrying about cleaning the house, checking emails, or worrying about other children. Plus, if your baby sees that you’re having fun, laughing and singing, it teaches them to do the same.

After the class, you’ll also have the chance to socialise with other parents – so you can connect and celebrate the excitement of baby’s first words and steps or bond on how sleep-deprived you are.

You might even have some fun, too!

So, whether your baby is a rowdy bubble-blower or a napping king or queen, a baby sensory class will give them a chance to discover and practice new skills, build confidence and have loads of fun along the way.
